Come on in for coffee, dessert and to enjoy the wonderful Bloomsday vibe!

Plenty of public parking opposite and right on the sea front – so stunning views are always there to be appreciated.

9-12pm – Bloomsday Breakfast Promenade Cafe
10am – Live Music – Tom Bye (Clarinet)
10:15am – Clown Visit
10:30am – Vintage Cars Arrival
11-3pm – Launching “Chocolate Factory”
Flavoured Hot Or Cold Chocolate Tasting
12-3pm – Outside Musicians
Sarah Franklyn and Matt Hayward (“Ivy Day”)

Vintage Bus stops opposite the Cafe every half hour

Bloomsday Events

For this year’s Bloomsday, these are the events that we plan for 16th June!

  • Special Bloomsday Promenade Breakfast in the style Mr Joyce enjoyed (kidneys included if you like!) from 9.00am until 12.00 noon
  • Readings during the day (times to be confirmed)
  • Music with Pat Coldrick (to be confirmed)
  • Sarah Franklyn Duo Jazz and Blues
  • John Quinn Author and Reader of “The Dubliners” at 2.00pm
  • Paul Gunn Reader and connoisseur of Joyce (time to be confirmed)
  • Vintage Bus transport stop at The Promenade Café going all around Sandycove, Glasthule, and Dun Laoghaire
  • Vintage cars to be parked across from The Promenade Café between 11.00 am and 12.00 noon
  • And of course, our Special Edith Piaf chanteuse: evening at 7pm (bookings only)
